The Other Women
Today I read an article about how badly mother’s miss their kids when they move away with their own families and forget about their mother. A man who separated from his hometown and away from his mom. After his father’s death he had moved away out of town to make a new life. Start his own family and raise his own kids. After the time he moved out her hardly ever would see his mother. The only time you would find him close to her were on special occasions like holidays or family reunions. His wife had tried and talked to him about how if he became closer to his mom, their relationship would build up stronger and would bring him a better life with his wife and family. So he gave it a try, he made a late night phone call to his mother and invited her out to eat and a movie after. His mother agreed, when he went by to pick her up he realized how they were both excited, they hadn’t gone out for a while and it was nice to be with his mother. After that day, they had promised to go out again. Because he brought back his relationship with his mom, his life changed and he felt better about himself. Spending time with one’s mother makes you learn how important family is and the importance of living. Something I learned after reading this passage was that there is always time for someone to bring back their old times with their family, and although it may not seem, it may turn out to be a fun time.

Title: San Diego Union Tribune
Among all the fossils, skeletons, meteorites and gemstones for sale today at the I.M. Chait Gallery natural history auction in Beverly hills, lot 127 stands out. They are selling a fossilized baculum, or penis bone, from a species of walrus that went extinct 12,000 years ago. The piece is more than 4 feet long, curves to a point and is covered with weathered skin and dry muscle tissue. But who would want to own such an odd thing? Lots of people including technology executives, Hollywood producers and A-list celebrities. Bidding starts at $16,000. “Size matters and the walrus has everybody beat” said Josh Chait, operations director for his family’s auction house. “It is a little sick, but where else are you going to get another one? That’s how collectors think.” For the rich, famous and scientifically literate, fossil collecting has become a trendy hobby despite concerns from scientists who say artifacts belong in museums where they’re available to researchers, educators, and the public. Actors like Nicolas cage and Harrison Ford and directors Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg are fossil collector. Prospectors hunting for fossils in northern Siberia almost mistook this particular baculum for a poorly preserved mammoth tusk.

Second Man arrested in slaying behind bar.

This morning I read an article on a man getting arrested of being convicted of a shooting that occurred in Chula Vista on about August 13,2007. He was the one that had driven away in a getaway car with Sergio Rodriguez. He was taken into custody from his home where his family was. They had also collected evidence showing that he was also involved in the fatal shooting. Many investigators believe that he is the second suspect that they have been looking for and were unable to find at the crime scene. Andrew Hicks, the man that was shot in the Alley died instantly after taking a bullet to the head.

Reading this just shows how much VIOLENCE there is here. I mean what the heck? Who shoots somebody just cause they got into an argument in a bar? I think it was a drunken act. The two suspects were probably REALLLYYY drunk, and did something stupid. They deserve to do their time. Do the crime you can do the time. Nahmeann?

Troubled Charter School may close.

In City Heights, there is a charter school called Children's Conservation Academy. The school will be shut down because of the bad financial and management problems. Teachers, parents, students, are scheduled to have a meeting about how they feel about the situation. Many are saying that the teachers are very good teachers, and it is sad to see them go. Financial issues involve the school owing more than $97,000.00 in fees for various services. The Executive Director has been fired for her lack of work responsibilities.

♥ pursuit ends with police shooting man
♥ This morning I read about a man who took a couple of San Diego police officers for a ride. The man's name is Alan Kosakoff and it turns out that he was on psychiatric medication. The high-speed chase ended tragically in Alan's mother's Del Mar driveway. The two San Diego officers shot him in the head and in the leg after Alan nearly almost run them over. After the incident, police were informed that Alan suffered from schizoaffective disorder. He remained in critical condition late yesterday. The symptoms for his disorder may include hallucinations, delusions, and most times patients cannot distinguish reality and fantasy. His father admits that he had not been taking his medication for quite some time but he is still trying to figure out why shots were fired.
♥ The story is sad but it shouldn't matter if your crazy, once you commit a crime, one should pay the price. ((Just my opinion))

-The San Diego Union Tribune
-Wilson statue is unveiled as Latinos, gays protest.
In san Diego, yesterday to unveil a statue of himself, Pete Wilson was greeted by two large groups. One praising him for jump starting the cities downtown renaissance and the other calling him a bigot. Each side seemed determent to drown out the other. About 300 hundred protesters outside Horton plaza pounded drums shouted out to megaphones and sounded sirens across the street from the ceremony. Latinos said that there should be no tribute to Wilson's record on immigration. Gay rights activists joined the protest. Saying that as mayor he gave them the cold shoulder ignoring complaints of the police harassment of gays and gay businesses
-I think that this article is pretty interesting. I haven't seen one improvement on immigration or gay rights for a while.
-One interesting thing that I learned is that Wilson answered “isn't this a great country that anyone can make a perfect horses ass of himself at anytime.” and that he joked that his statue will make pigeons happy.

ASTRONOMER, ENGINEER EXPLORED SPACE AND MEDICINE

Ronald N. Bracewell died Aug. 12 at his home in Stanford due to a heart attack. He was age 86 when he passed. In the 1950s, he and his colleagues designed a specialized radio telescope at Stanford University. It was called a spectroheliograph, which receives and evaluates microwave from the sun. This device was a series of linked dish antennas on campus that scanned the sun by day and the broader sky by night. In the 1970s, the formula was used in the making of X-rays imaging of tumors. Mr. Bracewell advised researchers at Stanford and other institutions. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen.

I feel sorry for his family that had to do through his death. I would like to say that he is also a big successor in his life and he should be recognized for it. I give good luck to his family in the healing process.

He is and Australian-born citizen admitted to the U.S. in the 1990s.

This morning I read an article titled Atlanta seeks Vick bonus, in the sports section. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Friday that the Atlanta Falcons will try to get back $22 million bonuses that have already been paid to Michael Vick. Michael Vick was suspended from the national Football League on Friday, when he filed a plea agreement admitting to conspiracy in a dog fighting ring. He agreed it included gambling and killing pit bulls. He denied making bets, and confessed to bankrolling the fights. Vick must continue to be on the team’s roster in order for them to receive any money. Preventing the team form removing him from the roster until the matter is resolved. If Atlanta gets the money from Vick, it will be put toward the team’s salary for the following season. I think they are right to take money from him. If you fight dogs, then you are a really sick person and they should take as much money away from him as possible.

THAT COULD INCLUDE INJURIES FROM A PATIENCE FALL OR INFECTIONS FROM NON-STERILE PROCEDURES. PREVIOUSLY, HOSPITALS RECEIVED COMPENSATION FROM MEDICARE FOR ALMOST ALL PATIENTS.THREE FACTS ABOUT THIS ARTICLE ARE THAT IT IS GOING TO BE HARDER ON THE DOCTORS AND THE MEDICAL IN JUNIERS AND ON ALL MEDICAL POPULATION. THIS WAS A VERY INTERESTING ARTICLE I FOUND IT VERY INTERESTING.

In the National Football League’s most of the valuable players are going to be strategically withheld from Thursday’s exhibition finale between the San Diego Chargers and the San Francisco 49ers. The Charger should maybe put in some value in the team and put Tomlinson to work.
I think that the Chargers should put him in the game.

Dean ruins trees central to Mayan life
In Uh-may Mexico thousands of Mayan Indians lost their homes as Hurricane Dean blew thru the Yucatan Peninsula. Their real wealth was their trees, which are now broken and all over the place. Mexican Mayan communities have survived centuries of oppressions. They say that no other hurricane has hit them so hard. The hurricane Dean ripped the roof of Israel Cruz Chan’s home. He demonstrated the flexibility of the Mayan villages on the Yucatan peninsula. After the hurricane he borrowed a ladder and started working on fixing his home. Israel Cruz said “if I just sit and wait until they help me, I’ll just die waiting.” The Mayan residents had simple requests for aid: a few sheets of roofing, drinking water and some food to help them pass by. I think that this is terrible what happened but no one could stop it. It is nature. I think it is incredible how simple they are. It his would have happened in the U.S they would not have such simple aid requests. I think that people in the U.S take things for granted. I like how simple this people are and hope they all get out of this ok.
