What is civil disobedience?
Civil disobedience is not agreeing or following the rule but in a civil way not causing destruction or anything like that .
What legendary civil disobedience have you heard of?
I have heard of Martin Luther King.
What do you know about them?
He was a good man and he wanted racism to stop.
What are some techniques used?
He would talk to the people, he would not insult them or try to start fights.
Do you believe in nonviolent resistance?
I believe that nonviolence resistance is good because you do not create more drama. If the situation is already hard why are you going to instigate and make it harder to the point where there is aggression.
Civil disobedience is when someone decides to take matters into their own hands. When someone tries to fix a big problem that they see in the government, then that is civil disobedience. Ghandi played a significant role through civil disobedience. He used a non-violent way of getting through to people. He fasted until the violence ceased or lessened. Martin Luther King Jr. also came through to civil disobedience. I very much so believe in a non-violent resistance because it give no reason to react in harsh ways. And hopefully no ones lives or self beings are hurt.
The definition of civil disobedience is when persons don’t follow the law because they don’t feel it is fair and they stand up for their civil right. Civil disobedience is not as bad as it sounds. Famous people have decided to be disobedient because they didn’t feel that the government was fair and without those people, we wouldn’t live the way we do today. One example of a way to be disobedient is to have everyone stop paying their taxes one year and instead, type up a letter asking Bush to resign. –That way, our soldiers can come home. =]
I believe in non-violence resistance. =]
Civil disobedience is when a group of people decide to not cooperate in unfair laws. They do this without violence. There are many legendary civil disobediences that I have heard. Of course there is Gandhi, martin Luther king jr., Caesar Chavez, mother Teresa, and a lot others. Some of them fought against racism others from a higher power and other people for their rights. Some techniques include boycotting, picketing, and nonpayment of taxes. I do believe in nonviolent resistance. One reason is because it is the safest way to voice your opinion.
Civil disobedience I know of are such like Rosa Parks, Martin Luther Ling jr, and Abraham Lincoln.
Rosa Parks stood up for herself and disobeyed the laws that they had back then like not sitting in the front of a bus if you were not light skinned or white. She felt very strong in her mind and decided to sit in the front and not get up when the bus driver told her to, with that in hand they called some officials and they arrested her for that. When that happened a lot of people started boycotting buses and nobody was riding them and the people that used to bus the most were colored people. After they had done all that the bus drivers were not making as much as they were before so they changed the laws and started letting black people sit wherever now.
Martin Luther King put up a lot of speeches and stuff to get people to get together and to get them to start a bunch of marches and stuff like that that sparked the disobedience of laws and certain things and made people get stronger.

Civil disobedience is when a group of people refuse to cooperate to unfair laws. People do it because they feel that they have no right to be in that position. A legendary disobedience is Rosa Parks. She refused to cooperate to the law that was going on at the time. She stood up for her rights and took her punishment she received from the police. Rosa felt that she it wasn’t right for her to move to the back of the bus so she took place. A technique used in the movement was called a boycott, the boycott was that lots of people join a movement that everyone stops riding buses to make a point. Yes I believe in non violent resistance because I think that it easy to make a point without being violent.
Civil disobedience is when someone chooses to disobey a law that they believe is unjust. They choose to not follow those laws or beliefs because they are in conflict with their own beliefs or they simply just don’t agree with these laws. Some of the most famous civil protesters that did it in peaceful way were Rosa Parks, Cesar Chaves, Martin Luther King Jr. and Woody Guthrie. They were normal people that were able to achieve extraordinary feats. They gained recognition and became synonyms for justice and the fight for their rights. Yet there were others such as a group called the Black Panthers that gained recognition and fought for their right with violence because they believed that that was the only way to receive results. Yet thanks to all their struggles they have gained for us, the minorities, rights and equality.
to me civil disobedience is to peacefully refuse an act from someone, being that you do not agree with what they say. some civil people who i know of is Martin Luther King. He wanted blacks to be respected as humans. And wanted equal rights so tht they could have better lives without being mistreated. king marched down cities with crowds behind him. he tried to speak out what he believe was right which was equal peace for everyone. sometimes nonviolent resitiance is good, it keeps you from getting in trouble and it is better for people to hear you other than causing kaos. but in some cases civil disobedience does not help, for some even though they come in apeacefull manner they still get mistreated as if they were causing a rukis.
