Halloween a time of joy for families or a time for people to do crime. The Chula vista police department states that crime ratio goes up ten percent. The violent crimes are leading in numbers and arrgravated assault has gone up as well. People are becoming afraid after 6:00 to take there kids out trick or treating because of the safety for there lives. Yesterday during Halloween a young man was shot because of another young man candy was jacked. I feel that Halloween should be left for the more mature and the little kids.

In an article titled Monk who helped protests escapes I learned about the problems in Myanmar. The article began with one of the master minds of the protest fleeing for refuge in Thailand after the government accused Ashin Kovida of conspiracy of a bomb attack which he denies. The protest in Myanmar began small with a protest against a high gas price increase do to the military regime. It later turned into more as one monk was caught on tape being beaten by Myanmar forces. The video caught Ashin Kovida attention who then wrote a letter to other monasteries to protest the Military regime. The protest has since expanded to cause 110 protester deaths including 40 monks and resulted in 200 beaten protestors. At the end of the article Ashin Kovida pleads to UN forces to intervene in the violence that is going on in Myanmar.
This article has shown how great things can escalate. I think that this quick escalation is do to government fear and its blind accusations is proof of that. This protest will hopefully be the one that will over all benefit their country because the loss of lives is just to high for something that has no effect.

A California man was hunting out in Livingston, Montana and he was attacked by a bear. The man was out hunting with his companion and they were led to a private hunting ground by a special guide that knew that territory very well. The man’s companion had just hunted down a deer. The man was at least 400 yards away from the victim when he heard another shot go off. The guide also heard the shot but it was not determined if the bear had been shot. When the guide and the victim’s companion reached the victim he lay motionless on the floor. Turns out the bear had slapped him across the face making his eye pop out of his socket. The guide said that the bear had to be a male because if it was a female it had stayed around to do more damage. I hope that this experience teaches him that hunting down animals for fun is not nice. Karma can be really good.
