Chargers
The chargers this Sunday are going to have to fight against the raiders with the chargers at the bottom of there division they can show that they are still fighters. While the raiders are tied for first in there division with the broncos, and chiefs. This game can go anybody's way. If the raiders win then they will be tied for first with the chiefs if they lose then they will be tied for last with the chargers. Although I don’t like either teams my bet is going to have to go with the chargers. But like they say there is still a whole lot of football that needs to be played. The fans though are already predicting that the raiders are going to lose with a crushing defeat.
Today i read about how the police shut down a brothel in Sunrise Avenue house on friday. They arrested two women on suspicicion of prostitution and two women in connection with threats yelled at neighbors who had complained. Neighbors told detectives they had seen men enter the house, stay about an hour, then leave. Detectives found an internet advertising site with more than 200 provocative massage ads listing a telephone number at the Sunrise Avenue house. An undercover officer posed as a customer yesterday and arrested a 36 year old San Diego woman on suspicicion of prostitution. A 28 year old woman El Cajon woman was arrested on suspicicion of keeping a house of prostitution. Both women were cited and released. Several men arrived at the house while the undercover officer was there, but they were just questioned, and released. When the police were leaving, two women shouted threats at the neighbors, officers turned around and booked them for suspicicion of intimidating a witness.
I think that this is not something that serious because if they werent caught prostituting then they shouldnt be getting locked up just becuase someone else thinks that they are prostitutes. I dont tihnk its right for someone to be that nosey on something like this. But hopefully theyre not prostitutes and keep doing their thing, but theyl just have to see about that at court.

This morning's blog is based on the text I read in the San Diego Union Tribune. The article was about the new interest in sending e-cards as to buying a card from the store. According to statistics, about 29 million are using e-cards for all the common occasions. The most audacious cards on the AG Interactive site are labeled "mature" bhut besides those, all the rest are heart warming for the whole family. People say the business is becoming profitable but they wouldn't quit their day job just yet.
reflection Personally, I like the idea of sending e-cards instead of buying cards from the store. Especially because i know that i can find an e-card online for free and I usually spend about $3.50 on a greeting card at the store.
interesting fact The country had about 29 million unique American visitors in July who clicked on sending their own e-card.
I was reading this article in the newspaper that caught my eye. The article was about a car accident in interstate 5 in Santa Clarita that occurred this past Friday. The accident occurred inside a tunnel on this road on the southbound lane and soon became a car crash pileup. Several big rig trucks and other small cars crash into each other inside the tunnel causing the tunnel to burn on the inside weakening the whole structure of the tunnel and the highway that passes on top of it. Officials state that it seemed like a bomb had exploded within the tunnel. At least three people died and ten were reported injured. Its significant to point out that because of the accident and the damage it caused that interstate will be closed until repaired and that could take until Tuesday or more. What really sucks is the fact that that interstate is the main route connecting LA to the north and the south. It’s the main route for trucks to transport goods to northern places. Investigators are looking for the source of the crash.

As police were leaving two women allegedly shouted threats at their neighbors. Officers arrested them and booked them into jail on suspicion of intimidating a witness. - I think that this article is good. I think that the police has done a good job on arresting prostitutes. I think that prostitution is disgusting. I don’t know how people will have sex with women that do with anyone. They could get an STD which is also gross. - One interesting thing that I learned is that the house was a five bedroom house and inside every one there was a woman.
Schwarzenegger signed legislation today about guns. It required that all new models of semi-automatic guns have stamp identifying serial numbers on the shell casings. The new technology, Microstamping, is an imprinted stamp on the hammer. It stamps the casing when the trigger is pulled. This accessory puts the price of the guns up $200. The down side is that is only costs $1 or $2 to produce. Schwarzenegger also approved a law to prohibit hunters to shoot lead bullets in the condors range, mostly along the coast of Santa Barbara to Big Sur. The lead in the dead carcasses body can kill other animals such as the condor. I agree with the governor because he is trying to save an endangered species. I think this will bring a lot of attention to him. I hate that the price of the new guns is going to go up.
At least 12 condors have died in the past decade from lead poisoning.
The article I read about today was about the landslide that happened in Mount Soledad. On October the 3rd, tons of dirt ripped down the mountain. The landslide forced the emergency evacuation of more than 100 homes. It left 14 of those homes uninhabitable. Records of the city report that months of warning signs were shown because their was alot of repairs these past couple of months. City repairmen showed up like clockwork during the months of March, May, and July. Residents of Mount Soledad began to notice ominous signs. The residents started noticing that the road was lifting strangely and that mud and water was coming up from the road.
Reflection My opinion on this landslide is that the people from the city should of just started to examine the city on the second repair. I would of been scared to be living in a city known there was something wrong and I think I would of notifyed the city to do an inspection on the road or pipes of water. I also think I would of sewed the city known that something was wrong with the pipes and stuff and they wouldn't inspect the city and then this happened.
In the first article that I read on the day of October 15, 2007 titled Fiery pileup in I-5 tunnel kills three, closes rout, published October 14, I learned of a multi car collision crash that left 3 people dead and injured 10. It took about 300 firefighters working throughout the night to put out the fire. The flames roared at fifty feet high actually cracking the melting and bursting the top of the concrete tunnel making it unstable for traffic that goes over that tunnel. The pile up has caused several delays, it reportedly took one hour to cross 100 yards in a San Fernando surface street. This was bad but it could have been worse, though this article did not mention how quickly the firefighters were able to responded I believe it was slow because of the intensity of the flames when they reached the fire. In the second article read today, titled, Governor vetoes 58 bills, including college aid for illegal immigrants, I learned of Schwarzenegger’s recent work as Governor. The first bill listed on the article was a Veto against illegal immigrants getting college financial aid after they have completed high school in the US. This veto though beneficial to me seems unfair because they have received the same education as I have and this just turns the same wheels forcing the immigrants to scrounge on lower paid jobs. On the upside this veto frees up space for actual citizens to receive financial aid, as well as make more illegal immigrants try to go through the legal channels to get into the US. The second Bill was about letting Kangaroo skins sell in California, thought this is against some of what I believe I am glad to read that the bill does not allow the sale of rare Kangaroos only the common ones. The article then goes on to just list dome more laws vetoed and passed, they included laws against sexual orientation discrimination in schools, for domestic violence victims allowed to ask a judge for protection of their pets, for gift certificates and allowing them to cash in on gift certificates lower than ten dollars, for bottled water having labels to show where they came from, and for the removal of food with trans fats from school menus. He also vetoed interrogators to record interrogations, and on having thirty days to drop of baby’s 30 days after birth.
