Food from boader is dominating
There are a lot of business that have opened that were across the boarder that are now opening. D’volda is one of many establishments that has opened in Mexico and In America. These business bring in more costumers than starbucks. Also Tacos El Gordo is another establishment that is bring in more business than Taco bell. The reason why is because majority can relate with the authentic Mexican taste in food instead of fake process food like taco bell. The number one cross over from the boarder business is Mexican seafood restaurants. People like to feel as if they were on the beach in Mexico and had there shrimp burrito with fresh caught shrimp.
Montgomery High School's Biology teacher decides to run his classroom paperless. He gives his 4 classes a password to an online biology book. As soon as school officials and the school board took a look at it, they needed proof that all his students had the actual access to computers everyday. Many schools cannot afford enough books, so internet may also be at home as a second choice. As time went by, more schools decided to use internet as the new education system.
Since my school is run by computers, i have experience to know how easy it is to do work online. Its less of a mess, and you do not lose any of your work. Maybe computers will be the new way to teach children.
This morning I read three articles for my morning blog. The first article was on a four year old who died Tuesday while on vacation. The four year girl was on vactaion with her family in the Grand Canyon. She was playing around and accidentally slipped 500 feet down the Grand Canyon. The second article I read was a guy who died in the same spot as his mother did. His mother died in an accident and it's a HUGE coincidence that he also died in an accident in the same spot two 18 years later. Finally, the last article I read was based on the new Google maps available to the public online. The Google maps show streetview of anywhere in the nation in just a click of a mouse. Some people are concerned with their privacy but Google has set up where people can ask to be erased from the picture. Also, some critics say that it's only making it easier for terrorists to attack us again with this new Google street viewing map. But Google is not the only ones doing this, Microsoft has a similar program allowing street view of anywhere too.
reflection. For the first article, it's really sad to hear about the little four year old dying because she was being proper;y taken care of. It's clear to see that if you're planning to go somewhere dangerous with little ones, one should WATCH THEM CAREFULLY. Hopefully, this is a lesson to everyone who plans to do the same. Secondly, it's bazarre that the son and mother died in the same way in the same spot. Hopefully, this trend doesn't continue throughout the family tree. Last, the Google map is not the best idea. I don't believe it should show the actual home and businesses. I doubt it's a welcome to terrorist but I do think that our world is slowing shrinking to nothing. Soon people will no longer have privacy and it's scarry.
Today I read about bomb kills Sunni sheik who aided U.S. a high profile Sunni Arab sheik who collaborated with the U.S. military in he fight against jihads militants in western Iraq was killed in a bomb attack yesterday near his desert compound. During that visit bush extolled the cooperation with Sunni clans that has made the province once Iraq most dangerous relatively safe. But they said it would not derail the collaboration of the alliance of Sunni clans known as the Anbar salvation Council. The salvation council was formed a year ago. He had survived three car bombs outside the anbar home he shared with his wife and five children. Then they set up checkpoints and began engaging in gunfight with al-Qaeda cell in the remade area.
Saturday, city officials released a startling estimate -- $48 million – for the slide that took place last week. This amount includes $26 million for public works and $22 million for private property losses. Governor Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency for this terrible disaster. Mayor Jerry Sanders held a community forum for the owners of seven red flag, inhabitable houses. He said that the city will not bulldoze their houses without them knowing. The forum was held at Pacific Beach Middle School. The organized forum brought about 100 residents, all complaining about the media. Several families were there, wanting access to their houses for the first time in days.
I think that declaring a state of emergency for La Jolla was very much needed and there was no way to get around that option. I think that this mess will take a long time to repair, but I think it can be fixed sooner. I like that all the people in the community agreed that the media was harassing them and that they spoke about it.
At the height of the emergency, 111 homes had been evacuated because utilities were cut off.
PACQUIAO OUTPUNCHES BARRERA IN REMATCH..................
Today i read about how Pacquiao outpunched Barrera in their first remacth in four years. Even though Marco antonio Barrera kept his feet, Manny Pacquiao kept his supremacy. Pacquiao beat barrera for the second time winning a gritty unanimous decision nearly four years after the phillipines favorite son became a boxing superstar with an upset victory over Barrera. Neither fighter generated many fireworks until a strong finish in their 130 pound bout in Las Vegas. But not even an iilegal 11th round blow by Barrera could stop the lightning quick Pacquiao who showed his world class reflexes havent slowed in his sixth straight victory. Barrerea lost a point for a head shot that discombobulated Pacquiao after the referee moved in to seperate them in the 11th, but Pacquiao recovered in time to reach the final bell. "It was a good fight, and it was different from the first fight," Pacquiao said. "Hes a good, smart boxer, Im satisfied with the result. I knew he would have to box me this time around.
I didnt like how this ended up because i have been going for Barrera since the first time they faught but it was good that they actually fought good this time. Even though Barrera could've actually put up a better fight towards the end. But it was a good fight they both made it to the final bell. At least Barrera didnt get knocked out before the final bell and loose bad like that.So i guess that fight was ok.
U.S., talk of Suriname test site. In Paramaribo, Suriname the president said yesterday that the United States is proposing to build a facility in the south American country. The facility will be used for testing the performance of U.S. military vehicles. They would be testing in dense jungle. U.S. defense secretary Robert Gates spoke about the proposed site during a meeting with president Ronald Venetiaan. This was at the close of the Gate’s five-day, five-country, swing through region, Venetiaan said. “If the U.S. wants to test military vehicles under jungle conditions, we have those conditions here, and we can accommodate them,” Venetiaan said after a meeting with Gates. Gates visited the Navy hospital ship Comfort, docked in Suriname’s territorial waters as a part of a goodwill mission. The ship has provided free vaccinations, eye exams, dental treatment and surgical procedures to South Americans. I think it is a good thing that the ship is there doing good things. And also, its wonderful that Ventiaan is willing to help us become stronger technology wise. But I wonder if its going to affect the jungle. It is interesting that they chose Suriname for our test site.
San Diego Union Tribune: In the article I have read today talked about 3,800 square foot built house. This house was demolishes at 1,500 in 1950 and now even better! This home is made up of four bedrooms, a two story and high tech energy savings. This home is expected to win a certificate as most environmental. Starting Thursday this home will be open three consecutive weekends for tours. This house comes out to be 1 million dollars. The significance of this house is that the kitchen is stocked with energy star appliances. There are also sensors that turn off lights for the children as they go to sleep. Reflection: I think this article was cool to look at because not a lot of people think of building green houses or energy powered homes. I think it is a good idea that lots of things in the house are energy powered because it can be safer for the family. It is also cool how a house can now respond to some things on its own. Interesting Fact: An interesting fact is that this house is a four bedroom, a two story and is worth 1 million dollars.
Kids with bad attitudes It is common for kids to have issues such times where they may seem grumpy, sad, mad, or too shy. But at times this can become a real big issue where you need a real expert to help you out. At some points these feelings are said to be a normal part of development. During times of stress it is very common to see your child with mood swings or behavior changes. Situations may also occur in a death in family or some kind of divorce, but the question you should really be asking is my kid suffering? Normal kids going through difficult times as well. But if you ever feel like there is some seriously going on with your child, seeking an opinion from a professional is the best choice. Early treatment of such behavior would give best results to your child. This is a great topic because many parents worry about their child and what is going through their head. At many times the parents might not know what to do, but advice to seek professional help is good advice for the parents and best result to know what wrong with their kid.
Union Tribune San Diego Chargers. Today I have read a short article on how the chargers won 41-3 on last weeks game. First of all it was awesome at firs but then it got boring because they just kept winning and the other team did not do anything, they just gave up. They were making fun of Philip Rivers running to make a touchdown. They were making fun of him because to them he was going really slow. LaDanian Tomlinson said that he received more calls about Rivers’ run than he ever received for his. Rivers rolled right and kept waiting or someone to break free then finally turned the corner and scored. LaDanian said that he knows Rivers can run faster than he did that day. Now Tomlinson is saying that they need to focus on wining more games. They can not just think that because they won one game they are ok. I think that it was kind of funny just a little. Well I hope the Chargers win this year.
