Marjiuana Doctors
Medical marijuana is stings target doctors and there credibility. Doctors are getting treated as if they are purposely giving out marijuana to those who don’t need it. The medical board wants to revoke the license of legal marijuana, because people are taking advantage of the good research system. There were a number of doctors targeted by San Diego Police department and one doctor who was giving out free marijuana. The doctors are stating that they are just trying to help the community in the best way and there saying if the people need marijuana for there illness then they should have that’s how you save lives. I think that some doctors are taking advantage of this right but I also think that they are just trying to help out the community.
As for cancelling marijuana prescription that should not be necessary. Some people actually need it so they can get through there normal day.

In the TEXT I read today was about quagga muscles being dangerous. A quagga muscle are mollusks that reproduce in prolific numbers. They are apart of the barnacle family. They are about the size of a thumb nail. The quagga muscles are invading the regions revoirs. People are hoping to get rid of the quagga’s because there is a possibility that they can get into water and pipes. This will AFFECT the drinking water. There larvae is very hard to detect, and they will lay pretty much any where. The quagga muscle can easily cut open the skin of bare feet. People will be safe if we are able to MAINTAIN keeping the quagga away.
Reflection: I that it is interesting that a small shell type can cut you open so easily. I think it is also interesting that they are able to travel and live in almost anywhere. It is kind of irritating that these quagga muscles can be anywhere and we don’t know it. I don’t think we will be safe until the all pipes are ANALYZED and EXAMINED.
Interesting Fact: An interesting fact is that the larvae of the quagga muscle can be barely seen, and they can live almost anywhere, and CONSIST of very sharp points.

- The article that I read today was about the support of DNA in solving crimes. It says that as sheriffs deputies waded trough scattered clothing and shattered glass outside an Encinitas boutique after a break in one night, they saw a cigarette butt and sent it to the crime lab just in case. Days later at the scene of a home burglary in San Marcos, another discarded cigarette butt was collected and sent to the lab for analysis. After two months the DNA results came back with a match. In two separate cases with no leads, a suspect had suddenly appeared. A 45 year old former convict from Carlsbad was soon arrested and in June pleaded guilty to burglary. DNA isn't just for solving homicides and sexual assaults anymore.
- I think that this is an interesting article. I hope that we can find more ways to use DNA to help us.

Readers Speak Out: Too Much Homework.
The article i read describes how schools are giving students too much work for themselves to handle. Even little elementery kids are stressed about school. Parents say that their children never get to take part in family events during weekends and holidays due to excessive amounts of projects and homework.
I think since i was in a normal high school before, i've noticed that too many teachers waste time in talking too much and explaining the material too slowly. If work is to be lowered down, they should stop having too much conversation and explain the assignment until each student gets it and start on work. Any left over work should be homework. Teachers depend on homework to get students to understand their work.

In the first article that I read on October 30th I learned of a tornado that ravage a town twenty more than fifty years ago that killed 77 people. On Saturday, Hoffman and a group of volunteer will be planting trees to create a sense of normal. Though they fell two thousand dollars short of there ten thousand dollar goal they continued with the tree plantings saying that it isn’t the amount they wanted to go with but is enough to start. The volunteers consisted of Westar energy Green teams which were mainly employees and retirees of the states largest electric company. In this article it showed a town that still needed healing fifty years after a disaster. To think that a large disaster could still effect people fifty years later is kind of scary. The Most interesting fact that I have learned by reading this article is that time doesn't always heal wounds some time it takes action by leaders to heal the populace.
TODAY I READ ABOUT THE DNA TRAIL.

Days later at the scene of a home burglary in San Marcos antoher discarded cigarette butt was collected and sent to the lab so that they could make an ESTIMATE guess on who the suspect was. As of right now they werent able to VERIFY who he was but they were getting close. So they cigarette butts were their STRATEGY. They followed the same SEQUENCE as they had done with the other cigarrete butt.
I was reading this article in the newspaper that I thought was interesting. The article was about a bunch of quagga mussels that experts believe are dangerous. They may seem harmless and innocent but they are a threat to the environment. The mussels, which, are small in size about the size of a dime plague fresh and salt water and can reproduce really quickly. They can clog up water pipes and form a barrier and not let water through. The water can become contaminated with the mussel’s waste and they can be hazardous for humans. They are pests that are not easily gotten rid of. The mussels can reproduce at a super quick rate and this can be a hardship in the eradication of the mussels from our water reservoirs. It is easy to derive from this that action needs to be taken to control the spreading of the mussels or else we will only see what little water we have contaminated.
In the TEXT I was reading I found some interesting news. Washoe was a chimpanzee that had learned American sign language. She died at the age of 42 on Tuesday, October 30th. The chimp was adopted by a pair of scientists who lived in Nevada when she was only ten months. The scientists played a major ROLE in her development. They AFFECTED the way she communicated with the world. By the age of 5 she had already acquired enough signs that were comprehensible. The scientists used various STRATEGIES to teach the chimp new words. It was a breakthrough in science when the chimp started responding and VOICING her thoughts by using her knowledge of sings. All of this new discoveries created a POSITIVE response from other scientists until a scientist stated that all that new breakthrough in science was just a stage. He said that the chimps only responded mechanically and that there was no way a chimp who could really think and communicate like a human could. Since then many have been skeptical in believing that chimps can actually have coherent thoughts. The evidence is there for those who need to be convinced.
The DNA Trial
DNA has become one of the most wonderful things in forensics to find out those who are guilty. It is the most accurate thing that can prove someone guilty for charge. DNA can be found in mostly anything the tracer leaves behind. Especially, if the criminal is not careful with the traces they leave you will find many mistakes in a crime. In everything we do we leave behind tracks of us pieces of our DNA. So sometimes it is very difficult for criminals to follow their own traces without leaving anything behind. Even the smallest things can be used as DNA samples to match any of other criminal DNAs. There has been a new lab group created for forensic measures called The Rapid Response Team, which was created to achieve faster DNA results than usual. DNA results from the team will be determined within 15 days rather than the normal 90 to 120 days process. With this quick new results criminals from many cases will be easier tracked and identified. I hope that with these new DNA results everyone can be more safer. But what will happen when there are too many criminals to lock up. I think that can become a huge issue for the future.
