Drug lord Javier Arellano Felix pleaded guilty this week. A document with details against him will be sealed late today. Burns said he would release an edited version of the document. It is known as a Bill of Particulars. It was filed under sealed. The decision was made over protests of defense attorneys who said it would damage the ability for Arellano and Manuel Villareal Heredia to get a fair trial. On Monday both men pleaded guilty. Arellano plead guilty for running a criminal enterprise and laundering money.
I wonder why he plead guilty if he is going to face life in prison anyways. There must be something really horrible in that file. I think that its good they plead guilty now they have probably released some stress.
Interesting: I find interesting that he plead guilty and now faces life in prison.

PORTLAND ROCKS WITH NEW UNIFORM

Jerry Glanville has brought back a positive style, attitude, and meaning to the black uniform in Portland. The former head coach at the Houston oilers and the Atlanta Falcons illustrates that the black uniform will help them create a since of fighting to there sprit. He estimates that they will be a top contender for the rose bowl. I think that Portland should instill fear in there opponents this year with the black uniform and fight for a division spot amongst the great players of college football. I feel that Jerry Glanville is creating a relationship with his players the more he treats them with respect. I know that this year will be Portland year to exceed and win.

- The San Diego Union Tribune
- U.S. dollar weakens in value globally
- The article that I read today was about the U.S. dollar value. In the article it said that investors dumped dollars yesterday, sending the Euro to a record high and putting the U.S. currency to a par with the Canadian dollar for the first time in more than 30 years. The impact of the falling dollar is rippling through the world and U.S. economies in numerous ways. It will give an edge to U.S. manufacturers. And it has already given a positive effect to exports by more than 11% in the first eight months of the year. Businesses with large foreign operations can expect a boost in profits when they convert their overseas earnings in dollars. On the other hand the decline is helping push up commodity prices most of which are denominated in dollars and kindling fears that inflation could rise. In the illustration of the newspaper it is estimated that one Euro buys for $1.4076 and the Canadian dollar buys for $.9993. crude oil futures surged yesterday to $83.32 a barrel. That is up 2 percent from the day before and up 32 percent for the year.
- I think that this article is pretty interesting. I hope that it doesn’t have a very big effect in the U.S. economy. Now it will be more expensive for us to buy imported things.
- One interesting that I learned is that the Euro is more expensive than the dollar.

Police seek father of abandoned 3-year-old.

In Wellington, New Zealand police issued a murder and kidnapping warrent out for the arrest of the father of a three year old girl found abandoned in Austrailia. The fathers name is Xue Naiyin, he is a Chinese-Language magazine publisher in Auckland, New Zealand. Authorities in the United States have been notified about this man also because his warrent estimated to be about a 3 nation investigation. Authorities say that the three year old daughter was found abandonded. When they requested a search for the mother becaused she was suspected of 'foul play' when she failed to come forward after her daughter was found. They found that the mother's body was stuffed into the trunk of the fathers car. They also found video tapes at the train station where the daughter was found. They captured video tapes, consuming enough information to illistrate that the father himself had left the daughter there purposly and left for Los Angeles. Authorities say that they are Positive that the father is the prime suspect because he left way too many clues. All the information they have on him are leads. Authorities asked the grandmother of three year old Qian Xun Xue to travel from China and request custody. Grandmother Liu Xiaoping stated "What she is going through now has no doubt left scars on her heart."

It is sad that a father can go as crazy as he had. You can already tell that he had no heart. There had to be some type of background to make him do this. Where ever the three year old is, hopefully she can grow up peaceful and not take this moment as a negative in her life and live a great life. Moments like this can scar a child so severely that their outcomes in the future may not turn out the best. I'm sure that her grandmother will raise her properly and teach her to love.

CARTEL CASE DETAILS WILL BE UNSEALED

Arellano Felix pleaded guilty this week. The illustrations for his case will be revealed late today. The Bill of Particulars, an edited version of the document, was ordered to be released from a federal court hearing. The document gives specifics behind each of the charges. It was filed under seal but Judge Burns decided to unseal it due to protests of defense attorneys. It was estimated to be better for his trial in order to have a fair one. Burns said that there was positively no need to keep the record from the public. Prosecutors said yesterday that they wanted to withdrawal the document completely.

I think that this document will not hurt anyone. Felix is already in custody. Most people already know that he is guilty.

Arellano Felix faces life in prison.

Title: San Diego Union Tribune
Today I read about LaDainian Tomlinson of the San Diego Chargers. First it must be made clear that it is a whole different deal to be in an NFL backfield looking for holes and deciding which way to run than it is to be sitting in a dark room evaluating a runner by watching film. Also, it has been well documented that LT struggles but remains positive, this season are actually the struggles of his offensive line. It did not appear on film that Tomlinson might have just maybe left two or three bigger gains on the field Sunday at New England, and in the wake of the two worst games of his career, something had to be asked. Never has someone felt sillier perhaps than when he must ask the game’s best running back if he missed some holes. Was Tomlinson trying to force some runs? Tomlinson has rushed for 68 yards in two games, the lowest total for a reigning league MVP in his first two games of a season. His average of 1.9 yards per carry ranks last among the 44 players who have carried the ball at least 13 times this season. Tomlinson estimates he will have a good season. It’s two games he said. “ Fast horses run fast, but they don’t run long. We’re going to be alright.”

♥ Union Tribune
♥ Evidence of Feathers Found On Carnivororours Dinosaur
♥ This morning I read an article on scientists who found positive evidence of quills on the well-known meat eater's forearm. In the research published yesterday, paleontologists said that the forearm bone of a velociraptor found in Mongolia's desolate Gobi Desert retained structures where the feathers were anchored to the bone with ligaments. But no actual fossils were found of the feathers, but researchers say that quill knobs would not exist without feathers. They are present in many of the birds living today. Scientists estimate birds first appeared 150 million years ago evolving from small, feathered, carnivorous, dinosaurs.
♥ Interesting Fact: The velociraptor's remains date 80 million years to the Cretaceous Period and were uncovered in 1998.

Gossipers The topic I read on today was based on gossip among people. A woman who is very noisy heard a rumor about one of her neighbors. not even knowing if it was true or not. She spread the rumor. poor lady who the rumor was about. She felt so embarrassed. within a few days the whole neighborhood knew about the gossip. Then later the lady who had first spread the rumor, found out that what she had said about that person was not true. She regretted saying what she had said. And felt bad about what she had done. So one day she went to a old wise sage, for advice. He gave her advice and told her to go the market and buy a chicken. One she had the chicken, she had to kill it her self and on her way home to pull the feathers out and drop them on her way. Then he said come back tomorrow and bring me the feathers you dropped. So the next day she past thru the same way she had done the day before. As she walked by she didn’t find any of the feathers except for only 3, because the wind had blown them away. So she went back with the old man, and told him that she was only able to find 3 feathers. then he explained to her, it is easy to drop gossip but it is not easy to try and pick up the bad thing you did. I think it was a good advice what the old man had gave the chismosa lady. But that was messed up because she opened her big mouth.
One thing I have learned is that before butting in into someone else’s business, you should think about how you would feel if someone got involved with some thing you found was none of their business and spread rumors about it. And what if it wasn’t even true.?

I was reading this article the article was about concert tickets. The issue is that fan club members have an availability to front row seat due to their memberships in fan clubs for certain artists. The artists believe that they should pay back to the fans that make them who they are so they give their fan clubs presale tickets to keep them satisfied. To many fans this is a really positive sign of appreciation by there most favorite artists. Yet many other fans are taking advantage of this to make some extra cash by selling their codes for presale tickets. Since there is no law against this this is not really illegal nothing could be done. Except that fan clubs are alert and kicking out anybody caught selling their codes.

Today I have read a short article in the union tribune about donated blood. In Washington it is said that the blood stored may lack a component to vital for it to deliver oxygen tissues. They found out that nitric oxide which helps keep blood vessels open, begins breaking down as soon as blood goes into storage. Doctors are worried that patients that have transfusions will have heart attacks or strokes. One of the doctors researching this said “It doesn't matter how much oxygen is being carried by red blood cells, it cannot get to the tissues that need it without nitric oxide.” The blood vessels relax and are there to regulate the blood flow. Nitric oxide opens up the blood vessels. This allows the red blood cells to deliver oxygen. In this case if the blood vessel does not open then the red blood cells back up and tissue will go without the oxygen it requires. This may cause a heart attack or death. They are now testing if they can insert the nitric oxide on the blood and if it would make a difference. They think that blood can be lifesaving but they are not sure if it really helps or makes things worse. I believe that in some cases this blood transfusion really helps. You don’t know that if it is the fact that the blood lacks nitric oxide that the patients get a heart attack. I think that there might be a chance that they would have gotten a heart attack anyway. I think that they should do more research about this and figure out what would be the best thing to do.
